The two types of networks are local area networks (LANs) and local area networks (WANs). The LAN connects computers and external devices to small physical areas, such as commercial offices, laboratories or universities, through a connection (cables, Ethernet cable, optical cable, Wi-Fi) that transmits data quickly. This type of LAN has two or more computers, printers, and advanced disk storage devices called file servers, which allow each computer on the network to access a single file. LAN software, which explains the transition and teaches network devices, allows users to communicate; distribute to printers and storage devices; and at the same time you have centralized processors, data or programs. LAN users can also access other LANs or access the WAN. A "LAN" is connected to a similar building structure by a "bridge", which serves as a transit point. A "LAN" is connected to several building blocks through a "gateway", which transmits data as it passes between systems.
