OH YEAH:
OSI stands for Open Systems Interconnection. It is a
reference model that specifies the standards for communication protocols and
also the functionality of each level.
Protocol:
A protocol is the set of rules or algorithms that define how
two entities can communicate across the network and there is a different
protocol defined at each layer of the OSI model. Few of these protocols are
TCP, IP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, FTP, and so on.
UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS OF THE NETWORK
Host Name:
Each device on the network is associated with a unique
device name known as a host name.
Type "hostname" in the command prompt (admin mode)
and press "Enter", this displays the host name of your machine.
